The Standing Committee is the governing body of the First Church of Christ, Unitarian. It administers the affairs of the church and sets policies for the operations of the church. The Committee meets no less than once a month to discuss pertinent issues facing the Church and to decide appropriate courses of action.
The Standing Committee is comprised of five (5) duly elected officers of the church.. Elections are held at the Annual Meeting and each member is elected for a three (3) year term. No member of the Standing Committee may serve more than two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms.
Other duties of the Standing Committee include serving as Deacons during the Sunday morning worship service and the production of the annual report for the annual meeting.
