First Church in Lancaster is planting a new commemorative perennial garden!

Three new garden beds, arranged in a welcoming semicircle around our fire pit, have been prepared and are ready for planting. As part of our growing pollinator mission, these gardens will provide beauty, habitat, and nourishment for birds, bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators for years to come.

We invite members and friends of the congregation to help these gardens bloom by sponsoring a perennial plant in memory or honor of someone they cherish. A selection of native and pollinator-friendly perennials are available for sponsorship (depending on availability). The organizers will purchase the plants, and announce when the planting will occur; all are welcome to help plant!

This is a beautiful opportunity to remember a loved one, celebrate someone special, or simply help nurture a living space of beauty, reflection, and community on our grounds.

Together, we are planting not only flowers, but remembrance, hope, and life.
