Join us this Sunday for a reflective and uplifting service centered on the power of light in uncertain times. We will explore the history of the Unitarian Universalist flaming chalice — a symbol created during World War II as an emblem of courage, refuge, and faith in action — and consider what it calls us to embody today. The service will also include our Luminescence Candlelighting Ceremony, a uniquely UU ritual in which we kindle individual candles to honor hope, renewal, and our shared responsibility to carry light into the world. Through story, silence, and candlelight, we gather not only to receive illumination, but to remember that we are its keepers together.
Please join us, online or in person, each Sunday at 10:00 am for Sunday service and Religious Exploration activities for children. Coffee hour follows service. All are welcome!
If you would like to receive updates on what is planned for the service this week (inside, outside, online, zoom connection information, last minute changes) please sign up for our weekly newsletter or contact the office: office@FirstChurchLancasterMA.org.
