In it, Mary (Maryam) and Jesus (Isa) are revered figures, with Mary being the only woman mentioned by name and an entire chapter dedicated to her. Jesus is described as a prophet, “the Christ, son of Mary,” born to a virgin through God’s will, and a messenger of God.
