Our goal is to live in loving community and to assist those on a free and responsible search for truth, meaning and spiritual growth, to foster social justice and to provide care to those in need.

First Church of Christ Unitarian is a dynamic, progressive church community that nurtures spiritual inspiration and growth. We promote interfaith understanding and seek to advance the cause of social justice.

The First Church combines Christian traditions and services with the principles and core values of the Unitarian Universalist faith.

We have a strong historical foundation as the gathering of this community dates back to 1653 when we gathered as a Puritan congregation and as the first church in Central Massachusetts. The building itself is a National Historic site and one of the best examples of early church architecture in the United States. The stewardship of this historic building is a key element of the First Church of Lancaster.
