For this first class, children will enjoy learning about the concept of sacredness through a story entitled, “Sacred Places” by Philemon Sturges. Using their choice of materials, students will be asked to build their own sacred place inspired by faith.

“Picture Book World Religions”. Children will explore various religions with a focus on Hinduism, Islam, and Buddhism. Children will learn through celebrations, music, crafts and beautiful picture books. In addition we will explore concepts such as the value of wisdom and loyalty, the importance of family, and the practice of compassion for all living beings.
