Tenzin’s Deer, by Barbara Soros, is a Tibetan tale about the power of compassion and the loving strength required to let go. Students will be invited to role-play the story and decorate the book’s Tibetan Buddhist prayer page with drawings of animals they’ve cared for.

“Picture Book World Religions”. Children will explore various religions with a focus on Hinduism, Islam, and Buddhism. Children will learn through celebrations, music, crafts and beautiful picture books. In addition we will explore concepts such as the value of wisdom and loyalty, the importance of family, and the practice of compassion for all living beings.
