Beginners (2nd – 5th grade)
HERITAGE
While the gift of heritage is not included in the list of seven UU Values, we draw from our roots to build a foundation of love. Students will hear a story entitled “Be A Tree”. Through an art project with wood or poster board, participants will express how they are like trees (trunk, branches, and roots).
Beginners will participate in a Unitarian Universalist Identity curriculum. This program emphasizes learning UU values through physical movement, challenge, and adventure. 1st graders are welcome to join the group when there is no “Early Learners” activity scheduled.
