Older students are invited to the church kitchen to bake Rugelach, a traditional sweet pastry that symbolizes hope for a sweet New Year. Meanwhile, fourth and fifth-grade students will make candy for the HSF. Both of these acts of sharing and creating are known as a mitzvah, or act of kindness, in the Jewish tradition.

Our “Crossing Paths” interfaith curriculum is a visit-based curriculum with an emphasis on theological grounding, a distinct take on religious pluralism (many paths) and an abundance of experiential learning. While the program is built around interfaith engagement, its focus is on UU youth identity formation.
