Today, in our culture here in the US, we are relatively safe to hold doubts about the nature, or even the existence, of God. Rightfully so. But there is a backlash to that freedom. Those who use false power to maintain their authority take a dim view of people thinking for themselves. Many have been martyred for it. Peace be upon them.
