Day of the Longest Light – Flower Communion

This week begins the season of summer. And while it signifies growth and the fullness of expectation, it also represents the beginning of the next phase of our year. A simultaneous birth and decline
toward winter. Take this summer sun into you while it is with us. Do not take it for granted.

FLOWER COMMUNION: Each year at the final service of our church year, we perform a ritual of sharing nature’s beauty with one another through our annual Flower Communion. As no two flowers are alike, also no two people are alike. In this ritual, we acknowledge beauty and diversity among our congregation and in the world.
