Jay Janell has been a librarian, archivist, church musician, and concert presenter at various times in his career. He practices kundalini and hatha yoga along with mantra meditation. He is currently in yoga teacher training at the Frog Pond Yoga Centre in Princeton.

What is the difference between mindfulness and meditation? If we find ourselves distracted by lots of thoughts while we are meditating, are we doing it wrong? What if some “dark“ emotions come up? Our thoughts? Or non-thoughts?
